How Cernext started
Cernext was founded in Lima in 2025, but the work started earlier: since 2024 Barclay Leach had been building web projects as a freelancer, after completing web development training at Coderhouse. Once the workload outgrew one person, starting a studio made more sense than turning work away.
There are two of us: Barclay Leach on direction and development, and Gian on engineering. That means the person you talk to is the same person writing your project's code. No account managers, no middlemen, no handoff to a team you never met.
We've delivered around 20 projects so far: corporate websites, online stores, AI-powered chat automation, digital ad campaigns, video editing, and network installations. We're also building our own ERP for mining operations, currently at an early, small-scale stage.
